Family Violence Support Specialist

The position is responsible for coordinating daily activities and supporting a team of highly skilled workers who provide specialist support and tailored advice to victims, families, children, and perpetrators.

The role requires the ability to adapt and manage change, working collaboratively with partners, stakeholders, and the community to identify family violence and child wellbeing issues.

  • Specialist support and tailored advice for vulnerable individuals and groups
  • Collaboration and coordination with service providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintenance of a system-wide view of service capacity, client experience, and outcomes
About the Role

The successful applicant will have a minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or equivalent, recent employment in the family violence sector, or meet the 7 Equivalency Principles.

They will have experience in a leadership role, including providing supervision to staff, and the ability to reflect on complex situations arising from intake.

Experience in risk assessment and management is also essential.
