Job Overview

The Treasury Manager will lead and manage a team, providing clear communication, setting performance and behavioural standards, managing expectations and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Defence's treasury and banking functions, including appropriation management and bank recognition.
  • Undertake complex treasury tasks, providing high-level advice and implementing continuous improvement activities.
  • Build and sustain relationships with external and internal stakeholders, evaluating treasury initiatives for success.
  • Ensure financial governance requirements are met, developing position papers and providing sound financial advice.

About the Role

The Directorate of Treasury provides shared service Treasury functions to the Department of Defence. The team manages Defence's appropriations and bank accounts in accordance with legislation, providing policy advice on creating, managing, reporting, and reconciling external bank accounts.
