Overview Chief Executive Officer, Australian Building Codes Board.
The Office of the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) is part of the Housing Group in Treasury.
The Office is responsible for maintaining the National Construction Code (NCC), servicing the ABCB (the Board) and implementing its decisions, managing and coordinating the Board's technical committees, undertaking related research projects, and education and awareness raising activities.
As Chief Executive Officer (CEO), under the direction and guidance of the Board and reporting to the Deputy Secretary / Director General Housing Group, you will have day-to-day responsibilities for leading the Office and managing its staff, engaging with stakeholders, managing finances and the work program to deliver and maintain the NCC, and oversee supporting capabilities.
The Secretary of Treasury may also assign you additional responsibilities at the SES Band 2 classification.
You will lead the delivery of a significant work program for the Board, including developing and delivering regulatory impact assessments, managing the expert technical committees, conducting public and stakeholder consultation, and producing guidance material, education and training, and related research programs.
