About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and artistic Pastry Sous Chef to lead our pastry team at Yugen Tea Bar. In this key role, you will collaborate with our Head Pastry Chef to create and innovate our pastry menus, driving excellence in presentation and taste.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute pastry menus that align with our high standards of quality and creativity.
  • Lead a team of skilled pastry chefs, guiding and mentoring them to achieve exceptional results.
  • Craft and present exquisite pastries and desserts that showcase our attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Collaborate with our Head Pastry Chef to push boundaries and innovate our pastry offerings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • At least 4 years of experience in fine dining or high-end patisserie, with 2 years in a senior or leadership pastry role.
  • A deep appreciation for the art and beauty of patisserie.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of guiding and mentoring a diverse pastry team.
  • A creative mindset and the ability to turn innovative ideas into reality on the plate.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A passion for making items from scratch and a thirst for continuous learning.
  • A commitment to Food Safety & Hygiene best practices.
