Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Collaborate with the Pastry Chef to develop and innovate new menu items.
  • Ensure mise en place is ready and of the highest standard before service.
  • Oversee junior members of the pastry team, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations in the pastry section.
  • Manage stock, orders, and inventory for the pastry section.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the pastry kitchen.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a hotel environment.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Creativity and flair in creating desserts that impress and delight.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Flexible with working hours, including weekends and holidays.
