Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and analytical Merchandise Planner to drive business performance through analysis, forecasting, and actionable insights. This role is pivotal in optimising sales, profit, and stock management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare weekly sales and stock reporting by country, state, department, and class.
  • Analyse results from promotions and key retail events and provide recommendations for future growth.
  • Deliver reporting and insights for trade, seasonal strategy meetings.
  • Conduct in-season trading analysis to optimise sales and profit performance.
  • Maintain weekly item plans for core styles to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Support seasonal store gridding, markdown analysis, and post-season reviews.
  • Monitor aged and clearance inventory, stock replenishment, and supply chain volumes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify sales and stock opportunities.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support business initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, or Accounting and have 2+ years of experience in merchandise planning.

Strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret data and trends, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential. Experience with merchandise planning systems is advantageous.

A commercially savvy individual with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability is required. Strong communication and collaboration skills are also essential.
