Job Title:

Optimising Operations Performance Lead

This position leads the Operations Performance Team in delivering sustained improvements to culture and process, creating a safer industry operating environment.

The role involves developing and implementing the organisation's operating performance strategy, managing programs of work through to delivery, consulting with stakeholders, and inspiring a team via thought leadership and commitment to objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver an OPT strategy for sustainable operating safety and related performance enhancements.
  • Empower a culture of operational excellence within the team and key business mentors.
  • Genuinely consult with stakeholders across the business, building positive relationships and networks.
  • Lead the establishment and continuous improvement of a positive culture across the operating community.
  • Drive and measure ongoing improvement in regulator audit performance.
  • Coordinate technical and procedural innovations, liaising between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effectively drive and manage change, building alignment across teams.
  • Provide accurate advice and direction to ensure safe access and protection of company assets.

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience leading an operational team and influencing behavioural change.
  • Demonstrated understanding of high reliability organisations and human capabilities.
  • Change management experience, setting new standards and embedding them as part of an organisation's culture.
  • Excellent communication skills, building rapport and influencing outcomes.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, particularly safety standards.
  • Capacity to understand and resolve safety, technical, and operational challenges.
  • Track record in mentoring and leading teams to deliver great work.
