Editorial AI Prompt Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Editorial AI Prompt Engineer to fill a critical role in our organization.

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for journalism and a strong understanding of modern newsroom operations.

  • Develop and fine-tune sophisticated prompts that guide AI models to produce accurate, contextually appropriate responses for diverse journalistic applications.
  • Partner with journalists and editorial teams through structured interviews and workshops to understand workflow requirements and translate them into effective AI interactions.
  • Define and document excellence benchmarks for AI outputs, ensuring adherence to accuracy, relevance, tone, and editorial guidelines.

Key qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated expertise in elementary coding, preferably Python, natural language processing (NLP), and prompt engineering using different models.
  • Strong grasp of language semantics and syntax, coupled with an experimental mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with both journalists and technical teams.
