Western Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Pharmacist to lead our Aged Care Team. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality pharmacy services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing governance frameworks and leading quality improvement initiatives within the division. They will also lead a group of pharmacists within the Aged Care Team, providing support, performance development, and managerial requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have prior experience in delivering best practice pharmacy services across a range of clinical specialties, including aged care services;
  • Collaborate with medical, nursing, and other health professionals to develop and monitor treatment plans, ensuring the best possible therapeutic outcomes.
  • Have a commitment to continuous improvements in patient care within aged care services.
  • Provide education and mentorship to early career pharmacists, pharmacy interns, students, and rotational pharmacists within the Aged Care Team.
  • Be able to meet the changing operational demands of the service, including flexibility with working hours and the ability to work across various Western Health sites.
