Job Summary:
The Senior Pharmacist – General Medicine position is a clinical leadership role at Alfred Health, a leading healthcare provider in Melbourne's inner southeast suburbs. This position requires a registered pharmacist with advanced clinical expertise and leadership skills to provide progressive patient-centered care across General Medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and develop clinical pharmacy services to General Medicine patients across Alfred and Sandringham hospitals.
- Manage and mentor junior pharmacists rotating through the service, including undergraduate student placements, intern rotations, and postgraduate student placements.
- Contribute to medical, nursing, allied health, and pharmacy education.
- Participate in research and educational activities of the General Medicine teams and Pharmacy Department.
Requirements:
- Registered pharmacist with AHPRA.
- Relevant clinical post-graduate qualification, such as a Master's in Clinical Pharmacy Practice, desirable.
- Recognition as an ANZCAP registrar or consultant, or equivalent, in the specialty of General Medicine or a related area, highly desirable.
