Support Worker

A compassionate and skilled support worker plays a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and reach their full potential.

About the Role

This position involves providing daily assistance to clients, including personal care, household tasks, and implementing individualized support plans to help them achieve their goals.

  • Domestic Assistance: Assist with household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Personal Care: Support clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility needs.
  • Achieving Goals Together: Develop and implement personalized support plans to help clients progress towards their objectives.
  • Community Involvement: Facilitate social interactions and community participation for clients.
  • Staying Informed: Remain aware of each client's unique requirements and adapt to changes.
  • Nurturing Relationships: Build strong, respectful connections with clients, families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care and support with daily activities.
  • Assisting with household tasks and domestic duties.
  • Developing and implementing individual support plans to achieve client objectives.
  • Fostering positive relationships with clients, families, and team members.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals of all ages.
  • Completion of NSW Orientation Modules.
  • Unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence and access to a comprehensive insured vehicle.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
