Empowering Women in Regional and Remote Areas

This newly created position offers a unique opportunity to work across both civil and criminal legal matters, providing holistic, trauma-informed legal assistance to vulnerable women.

The role includes outreach travel and participation in community courts, as well as delivering legal support to women impacted by Domestic and Family Violence and systemic disadvantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality legal advice and representation in civil and criminal law matters
  • Representing clients in courts and tribunals, including as a duty lawyer
  • Delivering legal support to women affected by DFV and systemic disadvantage
  • Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver wraparound services
  • Undertaking outreach travel to remote communities

To qualify, you will need to hold a Bachelor of Laws and be eligible for a Practising Certificate. Experience in civil or criminal law is essential, and an understanding of trauma-informed practice will be highly regarded.
