Construction Leadership Role

This is a pivotal leadership position that oversees the planning and execution of capital works portfolios, spanning full-scale transformations and project rollouts.

About the Position

We're seeking a strategic and hands-on construction leader with a track record of delivering complex, high-value programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for governing multiple concurrent workstreams across a portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment, robust governance, and seamless integration at scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Program Governance & Strategic Alignment: Ensure all projects within the portfolio are aligned to business priorities, resourced appropriately, and governed through stage gates and review processes.
  • Decision-Making: Hold delegated authority for program-level decisions on scope, sequencing, contractor engagement, and resource allocation within defined thresholds.
  • Scheduling & Planning: Develop and manage integrated workstreams using project management tools.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with key stakeholders, including retail operations, finance, and external partners.
  • Commercial Management: Oversee CAPEX forecasting, procurement, and cost discipline.
  • Safety Leadership: Enforce WHS standards with rigour.
About You
  • You must bring proven program-level leadership experience, not just project management. This includes leading capital works programs, overseeing governance frameworks, portfolio prioritisation, and stakeholder orchestration at scale.
  • Experience in corporate construction, with exposure to large-scale project rollouts.
  • Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of project management tools and systems.
