Role Summary

We are seeking a seasoned banking and finance lawyer to join our team.

This is an opportunity to work on complex matters, collaborating with partners and senior practitioners across the transactions group. You will have the chance to lead transactions with significant client exposure and mentor junior lawyers in their development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead banking and finance transactions, acting for lenders and financiers including banks, credit funds, and other institutional financial services entities.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior practitioners across the transactions group on complex matters, such as corporate, structured, and asset-based financing, restructuring, and special situations.
  • Manage matters with autonomy and efficiency, including significant client exposure.
  • Mentor junior lawyers, contributing to their development and shaping the practice.
Requirements
  • 4+ years legal practice experience, gained within a reputable banking and finance practice at a commercial law firm.
  • Demonstrated experience with corporate or structured financing (lender side).
  • Some experience with, or a desire to learn, front-end restructuring would be highly regarded.
  • Strong academic performance.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to run matters with autonomy and efficiency.
  • Ability and willingness to mentor graduates and junior team members.
