Job Title: Asset Closure Specialist

Asset Closure Specialists are essential to our operations. They ensure that assets are closed in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Asset Closure Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical advice regarding closure strategies, closure cost estimating, and closure implementation across the mining, oil and gas, and energy sectors.

You will work closely with our clients to understand their asset closure needs and develop effective solutions to meet those needs. This may involve conducting site visits, reviewing project documentation, and collaborating with other team members to ensure that all aspects of the closure process are considered.

The successful candidate will have experience in cost estimating/modelling for the closure/rehabilitation of large resources assets, knowledge of common asset closure techniques, materials, and equipment, and an understanding of complex risks associated with asset closure.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also need excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, cost estimating/modelling for the closure/rehabilitation of large resources assets
  • Understanding of common asset closure techniques, materials, and equipment
  • Ability to understand complex risks associated with asset closure
  • Tertiary degree in a related field, preferably Engineering, Environmental Sciences, and/or Finance or similar disciplines
