Asset Closure Strategist

This role involves providing technical expertise on closure strategies and cost estimation across the mining, oil and gas, and energy sectors.

  • Support clients in developing asset closure plans and budgets
  • Evaluate the reasonableness of closure plans and cost estimates for financial assurance teams
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Contribute to solutions and methodologies for clients to navigate complex regulatory environments
  • Assist with ESG due diligence and sustainability assurance services
  • Build strong working relationships with business decision-makers
Key Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge of cost estimation/modelling for asset closure/rehabilitation
  • Understanding of common asset closure techniques, materials, and equipment
  • Ability to understand complex risks associated with asset closure
  • Tertiary degree in a related field (Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Finance)
  • Project and time management skills, written and oral communication skills
