The Queensland Government is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead the K-10 Curriculum and Assessment Branch. As a key member of the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA), you will play a critical role in shaping the future of K-10 curriculum and assessment in Queensland.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and management of the K-10 Curriculum and Assessment Branch, ensuring alignment with the QCAA's goals and objectives.
- Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and implement state-wide policies and processes related to K-10 curriculum and assessment, working closely with stakeholders and external partners.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for supporting Queensland schools in implementing K-10 curriculum and assessment policies and strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster effective partnerships with schools, teachers, and other stakeholders to promote the implementation of K-10 curriculum and assessment policies and strategies.
- Project Management: Oversee significant educational projects within the K-10 Curriculum and Assessment Branch and across the QCAA, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
- Research and Analysis: Monitor national and international initiatives concerning assessment and provide policy advice to the Executive Director, Curriculum Services on assessment principles, policies, and procedures.
- Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with a strong track record of achieving results in a fast-paced environment.
- Policy Development and Implementation: Experience in developing and implementing policies and processes related to education and assessment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex projects, with a strong focus on timeliness, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Research and Analysis: Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to provide policy advice and recommendations to senior leaders.
