Insurance Claim Manager Position

This position involves proactively managing a portfolio of claims, with exposure to various lines of business. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional service, evaluate claims, negotiate outcomes, and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Manage a diverse range of claims, including strata and homeowner claims, as well as other insurance-related matters.
- Oversight of the entire claims process, ensuring exceptional customer experience and favorable outcomes for insurer clients.
- Collaboration with clients, repairers, assessors, and insurers to establish strong working relationships and protect client interests.
- Identification and escalation of suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims for internal review and investigation.
- Provision of relevant information and feedback on claims and emerging trends to underwriters/risk assessors.
- Full-cycle management of insurance claims, adhering to statutory guidelines and standards.
- Interpretation of policy terms, conditions, and exclusions up to Delegated Authority amounts; escalation of complex claims to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Response to inquiries within specified service-level agreements (SLAs) and maintenance of accurate information flow to claims stakeholders.
- Maintenance of knowledge regarding insurance regulations, court/AFCA decisions, and policy changes.
- 1–2 years of experience in insurance industry.
- Experience working under deadlines and within SLA timeframes.
- In-depth understanding of insurance sector and claims processes.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities.
