About the Role

The Senior Governance Manager will work closely with a broad range of stakeholders, including the Office of the Director-General, and collaborate with teams across Victoria's Big Build to build networks and develop strong relationships. The role is integral in managing the delivery of Victoria's Big Build committees and forum meetings, agenda items, and papers to ensure optimal governance and administration outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage governance activities incorporating the principles of good governance and decision making.
  • Develop and implement governance processes within complex State or Federal government organisations.
  • Lead Victoria's Big Build's Governance Team, delivering great services and advice to a broad range of stakeholders, promoting a team culture of continuous improvement, capability, and career development, and inclusiveness.
  • Ensure the quality and timely delivery of committee items, including agenda, forward schedules, action registers, and reports as required.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated track record managing governance activities incorporating the principles of good governance and decision making.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to communicate to a diverse audience and influence outcomes.
  • Proven track record managing governance processes within complex State or Federal government organisations.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, capability, and career development, and inclusiveness.
