Data Governance Manager

Reporting to the Chief Data and Insights Officer, the Data Governance Manager will establish and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and guidelines for data products across the organisation. This includes developing and implementing a data quality management framework, data risk management, data privacy and ethics, and data literacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and administer a robust data governance framework to ensure data quality, data risk management, and data security across the organisation.
- Create and implement a data ownership model, including the establishment of data domains, to govern data products.
- Collaborate with teams such as Technology, Risk, Operations, and Science to establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance data literacy throughout the organisation.
- Lead and manage the Governance team to achieve high standards of performance and accountability.
Requirements:
- A relevant tertiary degree and/or postgraduate qualifications is desirable.
- A proven record of achievement in a senior management role leading a business unit/enterprise through change to achieve high performance.
- Leadership experience and a record of achievement in leading a data governance function.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and methodologies (DAMA/DCAM).
