About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at the Central Adelaide Local Health Network. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to our nursing staff in the Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the Emergency Department, ensuring high-quality patient care and a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve departmental goals and objectives, including quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction targets.
  • Manage and coordinate the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Monitor and evaluate departmental performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current registration and a postgraduate qualification in Emergency or Critical Care Nursing.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in a healthcare setting, with a strong track record of achieving quality and safety outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, patients, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
