About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at SA Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and coordination of patient care delivery in a patient care area within a Health Unit/Community Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and coordination of nursing/midwifery and/or multi-disciplinary team activities to achieve continuity and quality of patient care and outcomes.
  • Accept accountability for the outcomes of nursing/midwifery practices and/or multidisciplinary outcomes in the specific practice setting.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address inconsistencies between practice and policy.
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to achieve high-quality patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Current National Police Clearance (NPC).
  • Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description.
