Job Title: Early Childhood Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned leader to join our management team as an Assistant Service Manager. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work in a leading early childhood setting, contributing to the growth and development of our service.

The successful candidate will be part of a vibrant team offering 169 places for children, with spacious open-plan rooms, an interactive kitchen, and beautifully designed outdoor play areas.

Our centre is conveniently located in the heart of Brisbane, with undercover parking off Taylor Street. We're just minutes away from Buranda State School and Buranda train station.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification as recognized by ACECQA
  • A current and valid Blue card
  • First Aid Certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

  • Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS)
  • Ability to support, mentor and lead a team of educators
  • Capability to assist in managing daily operations, from staffing to parent communications
  • Ability to effectively address and resolve issues that may arise within the service
  • Experience in a Service 2IC, Assistant Director, Assistant Service Manager or similar role within an early childhood setting
  • Proficiency in using relevant management software and tools for communication, documentation and reporting
  • Skill to address and mediate challenges or disputes among staff or with families
