Our team is seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our vibrant community.

Maintaining outdoor spaces requires attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality results. This role involves working closely with colleagues to ensure that our gardens, lawns, and sports facilities are consistently presented in their best possible light.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the upkeep of playing surfaces, including setup, maintenance, and repair under supervision.
  • Preparing sports facilities for events and carnivals, adhering to strict timelines and standards.
  • Operating and maintaining small machinery and equipment safely, considering the well-being of self and others.
  • Contributing to equipment and plant maintenance repairs, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Ordering and sourcing materials as needed to support ongoing maintenance tasks.


To succeed in this position, applicants should possess:

  • Strong knowledge of grounds maintenance principles, including fertilization, seeding, and turfing.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • Proven skills in operating and maintaining small machinery, prioritizing safety above all else.
  • Experience in equipment and plant maintenance, adhering to established guidelines and regulations.
  • Capacity to work independently and make sound judgments when faced with unexpected challenges.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or completion of an apprenticeship program.


Successful candidates must also meet certain eligibility criteria:

  • Hold a valid Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
  • Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
