About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable professional with a high work ethic to join our team as a HR Driver. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills within the fuel industry, performing deliveries to farm, commercial, and retail sites primarily using a Rigid truck.

In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring the safe, seamless, and sustainable delivery of bulk fuels and lubricants across our regions. Additionally, you will be required to maintain compliance requirements and ensure the Depot remains clean and tidy on an ad hoc basis.

Individuals who have succeeded in this job come from diverse backgrounds, including Transport, Agriculture, Logistics operations, Mining or heavy industry.

A typical day as a HR Driver may involve:

  • Making a difference for our customers – arriving on time to provide them with critical resources to support their businesses.
  • Caring for everyone's safety, engaging in regular safety talks, conducting pre-delivery assessments on your vehicle, and site safety inspections.
  • Finding innovative solutions by discussing opportunities to improve systems and reporting with peers and leaders in the business.
  • Owning your impact as an Ampol driver, representing us across various locations, visiting local customers, communities, terminals, and diesel stops.
  • Connecting with success by working with scheduling and fleet teams to confirm run sheets and understand customer needs.

The ideal candidate must have a strong commitment to Ampol's values, a current HR licence, and ability to use cab technology, such as electronic work diaries and delivery PCs. They should possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence change.

Beyond the must-haves, we welcome applicants with experience in the fuel transport industry, operational knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, a Dangerous Goods licence, Safe Load Pass, and Forklift licence.
