A career as a Self Employment Assistance Consultant offers the opportunity to empower individuals and communities through entrepreneurship. APM is seeking an experienced professional to support participants by delivering a comprehensive training and mentoring program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement marketing strategies to engage potential participants and develop effective networking tactics to expand reach.
  • Evaluate applicants to determine suitability for the program and provide personalized coaching and guidance to participants.
  • Assist in developing a detailed business plan that meets government and industry standards.
  • Monitor financial viability of businesses and implement action plans where required.
  • Document progress of participants in our IT systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Foster a supportive environment that aligns with accreditation standards and contractual obligations.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to work in Australia and possession of a current driver's license and comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • A MyGovID (Standard level) and willingness to complete a National Police Check.
  • Able to pass a Working with Children Check and commit to working full-time Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm.
Essential Skills
  • Exposure and understanding of small business management principles.
  • A strong networker with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to work autonomously while collaborating with a professional team.
  • Ability to operate within a compliance framework and attention to detail.
  • Experience in Employment Services or clearly demonstrated transferable skills.
