Job Title: Catering Assistant

  • We are seeking an experienced Catering Assistant to join our team at Macquarie Care Centre in Bathurst.

As a Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food and providing exceptional dining services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing resident meal service including assisting with meal preparation and providing a quality dining service.
  2. Supporting your peers and maintaining a cooperative team spirit.
  3. Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A heart and passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) – desirable but not essential.
  • Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people.
  • Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families.
  • NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain.
