Sustainability Manager Job Description

Our organization is seeking a Sustainability Manager to develop and implement strategies that drive environmental sustainability across our construction operations.

  • The successful candidate will have expertise in managing environmental initiatives, policies, and reporting, as well as experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and manage sustainability and environmental strategies, action plans, policies, and training programs.
  2. Collaborate with leadership and project teams to ensure the successful implementation of sustainability initiatives.
  3. Monitor and report on key sustainability performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
  4. Manage external relationships with industry bodies, consultants, and other stakeholders to advance sustainability goals.
Qualifications:
  • A tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • Specialist experience in environmental and sustainability management within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of Federal, State, and local environmental statutes and legislation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel interstate as required.
