About the Role

This pivotal role within our Sustainability team is responsible for shaping and delivering our Group Sustainability Plan, supporting cross-functional initiatives, and making a real impact on our environmental performance.

  • Provide support to the Principal Sustainability Specialist in implementing the Group Environment and Sustainability Strategy.
  • Identify, maintain, control, and monitor environmental risks (aspects and impacts) within a register.
  • Administer external and internal environment and sustainability reporting requirements to schedule.
  • Manage safety and sustainability events in our database.
  • Coordinate internal environmental projects and contribute to regulatory reporting.
  • Monitor environmental compliance and drive continual improvement.
  • Cross-functionally collaborate to support sustainability initiatives and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development of procedures and environmental documentation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in sustainability or environmental roles within heavy industry or mining.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in compliance auditing, data analysis, and report writing.
  • A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Geography, or Environmental Engineering (mandatory).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to interpret environmental legislation and apply it practically across diverse sites.
