Sustainability Manager Position

The Sustainability Manager role is a key position within our organization, responsible for developing and implementing sustainability initiatives that drive environmental responsibility and long-term value.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Sustainability Strategy Development: Develop and manage comprehensive sustainability strategies, action plans, policies, and training programs to ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • ESG Advisory Services: Provide expert advice on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.
  • Sustainability Data Management: Collect, analyze, and report on sustainability data across our construction operations, providing insights for decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor and report on key sustainability and environmental performance objectives, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Industry Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with relevant sustainability industry bodies and intermediaries, staying informed about emerging trends and best practices.
  • Sustainability Integration: Embed sustainability principles into design and procurement processes, ensuring that all projects and operations are aligned with our sustainability vision.
  • External Partnerships: Coordinate and manage external sustainability consultants, leveraging their expertise to drive sustainability outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering, Science, Sustainability, or related fields.
  • Specialist experience in sustainability and environmental management within the Construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of Federal, State, and local environmental statutes and legislation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to engage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and manage initiatives aligned with company direction.
  • Ability to travel interstate as required.
