ESG Strategist and Governance Expert

The ESG strategist and governance expert role leads the development and implementation of environmental, social, and governance strategies, sustainability frameworks, and governance practices at a prominent energy transmission company.

This position influences organisational direction and embeds sustainability into everyday practices while managing a dedicated team of three.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver ESG strategies that strengthen sustainability outcomes and meet evolving reporting requirements.
  • Provide advice to executives and the Board on climate risk, sustainability opportunities, and compliance obligations.
  • Manage the upkeep and improvement of the environmental management system, working collaboratively to ensure it meets organisational needs; lead a team of three and coordinate across business areas to deliver sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualifications in environmental science, sustainability, commerce, economics, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Class C driver's licence.
