Job Title: Organisational Information Specialist

A full-time position is available for a skilled professional to oversee the organisation's information lifecycle, from creation to disposal. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, implementing and managing databases, as well as developing knowledge management frameworks and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement information management strategies and policies.
  • Oversee the organisation's information lifecycle, from creation to disposal.
  • Design, implement and manage databases to support organisational needs.
  • Optimise database performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure data integrity and security within databases.
  • Develop knowledge management frameworks and systems.
  • Ensure proper classification, storage and retrieval of records.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with records management standards.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to align information systems with organisational goals.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration on information-related projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in information management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proficient in developing and implementing information management strategies, policies, and systems.
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing databases.
  • Strong understanding of knowledge management principles, including the development of frameworks and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster effective communication channels within the organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks associated with information management.
