About the PositionWe are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused professional to join our team as a Health Information Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and scanning patient documents, coordinating with other team members, and releasing patient information in accordance with our confidentiality protocols.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation and scanning of patient documents
- Release of patient information in accordance with our confidentiality protocols
- Quality checking of scanned documents
- Merging of patient records
- Updating information on various systems
- Greeting callers and customers
- Medical record filing and retrieval
- Sorting of internal mail
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Well organised, able to prioritise, plan ahead and work under pressure
- Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office and Patient Administration Systems
- Previous front line customer service experience
