This position plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of MercyCare by interpreting and applying multiple industrial agreements, updates, and changes in the industrial relations framework. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to complex employee relations matters, coaching the team, and liaising with external stakeholders such as the Fair Work Commission, Ombudsman, and Unions.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional who can quickly grasp complexities, analyze information, and provide recommendations that drive business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial relations, human resources, or a related field, and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret and apply industrial agreements, updates, and changes to support daily operations
- Respond to complex employee relations matters, including investigations, drafting agreements, and running BOOTs
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including the Fair Work Commission, Ombudsman, and Unions
- Coach and support the team in complex employee relations matters
- Provide recommendations to drive business outcomes

Requirements- Qualifications in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, or a related field
- Experience managing complex employee relations matters, union and third-party relationships
- Demonstrated ability to quickly research and analyze information to support stakeholder decision making
- Good leadership experience, and the role would suit someone keen to step up into a leadership position
- Knowledge of employment contract management and employee relations
- The ability to build relationships fast and understand the needs of stakeholders
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to self-motivate to achieve timely outcomes
- Advanced skills across HRIS applications and Microsoft Office suite
- Driver's Licence
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
