About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Employee Relations Specialist to join our People and Culture team at Edith Cowan University. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the University's industrial and pay compliance, providing specialist advice on complex industrial and employee relations matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level, specialist advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on complex workplace relations issues, including misconduct and substandard performance, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Develop policies and procedures in accordance with University priorities, including education programs and information tools to ensure compliance with legislative obligations.
  • Lead enterprise bargaining negotiations, including drafting agreement provisions and developing bargaining plans aligned with the strategic direction of the University.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of the Australian industrial relations legislative framework.
  • Extensive experience in managing complex cases and investigations, including unfair dismissals, general protections, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Experience in implementing legislative reform.
