Employee Relations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced HR/IR professional to join our Employee Relations Advice Centre as an Employee Relations Adviser. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality, accurate, and practical employee relations advice to our members, covering a range of HR/ER matters.
Key Responsibilities- Offer advice on HR/ER/IR matters, interpreting awards and agreements, and researching technical matters including legislation and case law.
- Assist in HR/ER projects in collaboration with our Human Resources & Workplace Relations teams.
- Undertake award allocations and write articles on HR/ER topics.
- Review and update ER publications.
To succeed in this role, you will be a patient, positive, and organised individual with a passion for human resources and industrial relations. You will have an aptitude for learning information quickly and a genuine interest in furthering your technical skills and career.
You will have:
- Completed or currently studying a tertiary qualification in HR/IR/ER or law.
- Proven experience or interest in HR/ER/IR.
- Experience in customer service is desirable.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven analytical and research skills with a strong desire to keep up to date with the latest legislation.
- The ability to empathise with members' individual situations.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team.
- Experience in the use of Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
