Hotel Operations Manager

The Hotel Operations Manager will provide overall management to the Front Office and Reservations departments. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless guest check-ins, check-outs, luggage delivery, and reservations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Rooms Division Manager in providing overall management to the Front Office and Reservations departments.
  • Coordinate and assist with daily operations, including front desk duties and housekeeping services.
  • Lead by example when attending to guest requests and complaints.
  • Be proactive and resourceful in addressing operational challenges and maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Assist the Rooms Division Manager in creating and implementing department training plans to drive performance and engagement within the hotel team.
  • Assist with the preparation of rosters and timesheets in line with industry requirements.
  • Be a support to all areas of the hotel, helping and guiding staff during peak periods to eliminate potential issues.
Requirements
  • A naturally confident personality, able to approach people and initiate conversation.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask while maintaining a high awareness of what is going on around.
  • An outcome-driven approach to performance and results, striving to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Experience in hospitality management systems and Microsoft Suite.
  • Current First Aid & CPR, and Responsible Service of Alcohol certificates.
  • Available to work varied shifts from early mornings to late evenings, including weekends and public holidays as per business demands.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience within a hotel's front office department.
  • Unlimited work rights in Australia.
