About the Role

The ESG strategic analyst develops and implements comprehensive environmental, social, and governance strategies in alignment with business objectives. This involves collaborating with cross-functional departments to understand their goals and priorities, as well as researching potential partners and conducting financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on prospective firms and prepare customized presentations for executive teams.
  • Collect detailed information on partner companies and assess the competitive landscape within mining and digital technology areas.
  • Understand business plans and objectives, particularly related to sustainability, and evaluate potential target companies.
  • Develop financial analyses to determine commercial value of potential sustainability solutions.
  • Assess potential contribution of prospect businesses to operating business units or group company offerings.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience in strategic analysis, preferably in ESG and sustainability, with a focus on the mining industry.
  • Technical expertise or understanding of ESG-related technologies, particularly in mining, is a strong plus.

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong research, analytical modeling, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.

Sustainability Experience:

  • Experience working with companies in the mining industry to develop and implement ESG strategies.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in ESG reporting and compliance.
