Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process clinical specimens for diagnostic testing
  • Perform a range of medical laboratory techniques with accuracy and care
  • Uphold quality standards in accordance with laboratory protocols

What we are looking for

We are seeking a motivated and capable Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our busy Immunology department. The successful candidate will possess:

  • Appropriate qualifications in Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent)
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
  • The ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to take on additional responsibilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is highly desirable
  • An understanding of ethical conduct and commitment to Sonic Healthcare's core values
  • Eligibility to work in Australia (please outline any VISA conditions if applicable)

Previous experience in an Immunology laboratory is highly regarded; however, this role is also suitable for recent or soon-to-be graduates in Medical Laboratory Science. The Immunology department is the Sonic reference centre for flow cytometry, protein studies, autoantibodies, and allergy testing.
