Mechanical Trades Specialist

About the Role:
- Undertake scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks on plant systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, as well as company policies.
- Contribute to maintaining production efficiency by minimising downtime and optimising workflow.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and other departments to prioritise and coordinate work.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation using asset management software.
- Provide technical guidance and support to fellow maintenance personnel.
- Contribute to small-scale projects and initiatives aimed at improving processes and equipment performance.
Requirements:
- A recognised mechanical trade qualification with relevant industry experience.
- Proven experience working within a manufacturing or industrial setting—preferably food production.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including fault diagnosis and resolution.
- Familiarity with maintenance planning, scheduling and coordination procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.
