Intellectual Property Specialist

We are seeking a talented professional to partner with our Research Scientists and Engineers and work closely with the Intellectual Property (IP) Legal team to build and manage the patent portfolio.
Main Responsibilities:- Serve as a trusted colleague to Research & Development (R&D) teams on all IP issues, providing solid and practical strategic advice.
- Align IP strategies with business plans.
- Build IP awareness, culture, and standard work within the organization.
- Lead outside counsel in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
- Provide educational presentations and training on IP matters to employees.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Registered patent agent before the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and/or U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Patent Agent/Junior Counsel in a law firm and/or in-house role.
