Reconciliation and Financial Accuracy Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our Finance Department on a permanent full-time basis.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing bank reconciliations and related activities for all assigned bank accounts. This involves investigating and managing daily exceptions, ensuring reconciliations comply with audit controls and processes, and maintaining effective reconciliation processes as a key control over cash transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete system- and Excel-based reconciliations within service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Establish and maintain documented process/procedure manuals of all processes within the reconciliations function
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Provide accurate and timely daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
  • Investigate and clear all daily reconciling items and aged outstanding items
  • Identify and escalate areas of risk or problems to Line Manager and/or Team Leader as deemed appropriate

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates will possess excellent analytical skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadline-driven tasks daily. Key qualifications include:

  • An Accounting/Business degree
  • Experience in high-volume reconciliation and service delivery environments is highly desirable
  • Understanding of accounting concepts and principles
  • Excellent MS Office knowledge, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, V lookups, etc.)
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Effective stakeholder management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed
