Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled professional to coordinate planned transmission outages and associated switching programs. This includes conducting preliminary security assessments and ensuring accurate outage scheduling with industry partners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, checking, and processing switching programs in line with industry standards and best practices.

Key responsibilities include providing technical support and specialist advice to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams. Collaboration with project teams ensures safe and timely switching operations. Contribute to outage planning performance and compliance with regulatory network targets.

  • At least 5 years' experience in high-voltage electricity operations, preferably within transmission networks.
  • Electrical trade qualifications and/or an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering (desired).
  • Deep understanding of transmission network equipment, switching protocols, and outage coordination.
  • Strong analytical and risk management skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve switching-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience working with switching systems such as SWOBS, NOS, and Energy Management Systems (preferred).
