Job Title: National Transport Manager

Our organization is seeking a skilled National Transport Manager to play a critical role in our Supply Chain Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering an efficient, effective, and safe transport operation that supports our growing customer base.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership experience in Safety and Transportation at senior levels, along with strong negotiation skills and the ability to drive value for the business. A degree qualification in Logistics, Business, or a relevant field is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead safety initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders to drive results.
  • Oversee operational performance and DIFOT levels.
  • Develop and implement the Transport Strategy to deliver outstanding customer service and cost control.
  • Manage contracts with transport companies and owner drivers, including commercial negotiations.
  • Serve as a liaison between Sales and transport-related topics.
  • Review existing transport systems and partner with IT to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Manage national vending teams and external contractors.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in Safety and Transportation at senior levels.
  • Degree qualified in Logistics, Business, or relevant field.
  • Negotiation skills that drive value for the business.
  • Strong resilience and prioritization skills.
  • Independent with a track record of delivering value-added initiatives.
  • High-level financial and cost management of complex transport operations.
