**Job Description:**

  • This is a key leadership role responsible for the delivery of high-quality infrastructure and asset management outcomes for the community.

 

About the Role:

  • This senior position leads the Engineering Services team to deliver infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
  • The incumbent will oversee complex civil infrastructure designs and provide authoritative technical advice to stakeholders and the community.
  • This is a high-level consultation and liaison role with residents, government agencies, contractors, and elected officials.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Engineering Services team.
  • Act as the asset owner for multiple asset classes.
  • Manage the development and implementation of Asset Management Systems and Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Deliver effective project management including procurement, contract administration, and budget control.
  • Engage in high-level consultation and liaison with diverse stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation and sustainability in infrastructure planning and delivery.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering and Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in civil and building design, asset management, and delivery of civil works programs.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing professional engineering teams.
  • Extensive project management experience with proven budgetary and contractual oversight.
  • High-level communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence.
