The Role:\
This is a permanent full-time position (35 hours per week) based with Hunters Hill Council.\
The successful candidate will lead the delivery of high-quality infrastructure and asset management outcomes for the community, as a Chartered Civil Engineer.\

\Key Responsibilities:\

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Engineering Services team to deliver infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.\
  • Act as the asset owner for multiple asset classes, ensuring compliance with relevant asset management policies, strategies, and plans.\
  • Manage the development and implementation of Asset Management Systems and Maintenance Management Systems.\
  • Oversee complex civil infrastructure designs and provide authoritative technical advice to stakeholders and the community.\
  • Deliver effective project management including procurement, contract administration, and budget control.\
  • Engage in high-level consultation and liaison with residents, government agencies, contractors, and elected officials.\
  • Drive innovation and sustainability in infrastructure planning and delivery.\

      • Degree in Civil Engineering and Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia (mandatory).\
      • Demonstrated experience in civil and building design, asset management, and delivery of civil works programs.\
      • Strong leadership skills with experience managing professional engineering teams.\
      • Extensive project management experience with proven budgetary and contractual oversight.\
      • High-level communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.\
      • Current Class C Driver's Licence.\
