Food & Beverage Service Leader

We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Service Leader to join our team at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort.

  • About the Role:
  • This position is responsible for motivating and developing staff to provide exceptional service and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • The successful candidate will collaborate with event planning teams to deliver smooth and efficient service, execute events, and oversee daily operations of the resort's events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing the outlet for daily operation, including setting and resetting tables, light cleaning, and other assigned tasks.
  • Assisting the Manager in monitoring rosters to ensure all shifts are covered and making adjustments where necessary.
  • Ordering inventory based on outlet par levels as prescribed by the Manager.
  • Ensuring the team adheres to guidelines for presentation, grooming, and punctuality.
  • Developing and maintaining cohesive working relationships within the team and wider hotel team.
  • Attending and participating in daily briefings, meetings, and training sessions as scheduled.
  • Demonstrating awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensuring all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Food and Beverage Service, preferably in banquet operations.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Effective communication skills, demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees, and third parties.
  • Time management skills, delegation, drive for results, and strong employee engagement skills.
  • Neat personal presentation.
