Strategic Human Resources Partner for MSS Security

MSS Security is a leading security company in Australia, delivering high-quality services nationwide. As a Strategic Human Resources Partner, you will be an integral part of our People and Culture team, primarily based in Sydney with intrastate travel within NSW.
Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, this role offers a Fixed-term contract, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact on managing disciplinary matters and employee investigations.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for all HR, ER, and IR queries from the business, fostering positive employee relations and promoting engagement and motivation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the People and Culture Manager in resolving employment issues and advising leaders for smooth operations.
- Fostering positive employee relations, promoting engagement, and motivation.
- Developing and managing employment documentation, including contracts and position descriptions.
- Participating in HR reporting, analytics, and special projects.
- Addressing training needs, assisting in content development, and delivery.
- Providing professional and business-focused HR, ER, and IR support to a dedicated client group of operational managers on all people-related matters.
- Supporting the state P&C function in delivering generalist activities related to People and Culture.
- Reviewing and responding to employee queries and feedback.
- Administering Reward & Recognition and Employee Referral Programs, ensuring employee satisfaction and retention.
We are looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in IR/HR Advisor capacity managing non-complex employee relations matters, including performance matters, investigations, and terminations.
- A keen interest in employee relations and industrial relations and familiarity with Fair Work guidelines.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present complex information in a simple manner to a range of audiences.
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or similar (or working towards).
- An open attitude towards travel intrastate and interstate.
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
- Full Australian working rights.
