About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Duty Manager to lead our lifeguard team at The Y Broken Hill Regional Aquatic Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our aquatic facilities, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of lifeguards and provide guidance and support to ensure the highest level of service delivery.
  • Ensure the aquatic facilities are maintained to the highest standards, including regular water testing and pool operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to visitor queries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the aquatic centre, including opening and closing procedures, roster management, and conflict resolution.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in an aquatic or recreation centre environment.
  • Pool Lifeguard Licence and Aquatic Technical Operations Certificate (Pool Ops) are essential.
  • Previous experience in plant room operations is desirable.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
