Parts Interpreter Role

As a Parts Interpreter at Toll Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and store products, components, and spare parts in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Liaise with the Business Unit to schedule internal services and maintenance.
  • Ensure all orders are picked accurately, efficiently, and effectively, and that all stock records are accurately updated.
  • Monitor and maintain minimum/maximum stock levels, ensuring stock is available for scheduled preventative maintenance servicing and is efficiently stored and secured.
  • Liaise and work collaboratively with teams to effectively coordinate parts between relevant workshops and deliver maintenance outputs and effective handovers.
  • Report on variances to the Workshop Manager for short/over supply or incorrect products and liaise with suppliers when necessary.
  • Undertake data entry, reporting functions, workshop requisitions, work order management, and records management in accordance with TOLL standards and in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a similar role within the Transport/Logistics industry.
  • A positive attitude and appetite to learn.
  • The ability to work in a team environment, as a team member.
  • Forklift Licence (not essential).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Computer literacy skills – MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines within a time-pressured environment.
